Our Legacy
Founded in 1966 by Jacob "Jake" Heaton, Heaton Erecting, Inc. has been a leader in crane rental, rigging and transportation in the Atlanta construction industry for nearly six decades. Carol Heaton, daughter of Jake Heaton, carried on his legacy and continued the reputation of excellence by consistently providing safe and reliable lifting solutions for projects of all sizes.
From specialized crane operations to custom rigging solutions, our team has played a pivotal role in shaping Atlanta’s skyline. Heaton has been a trusted partner for general contractors, electrical and mechanical contractors and owners looking for expertise in heavy lifting.
Our Future
In November 2024, Heaton joined forces with Superior Rigging & Erecting Co., creating one of the most experienced and resourceful teams in the lifting and rigging industry. This partnership combines over 132 years of industry expertise, expanding our capabilities and service offerings.
